Biography
I began painting in watercolor in the fall of 2002 and was immediately fascinated with the medium. Most of the techniques that I use I have learned from books and videos and have been greatly influenced by the artist Jelena Lindemann, whose style impresses me very much.
I love to paint flowers, landscapes and still-life and it is my goal that the viewer will “feel” the natural beauty of my subject matter. I find great joy in capturing this natural beauty with the luminous charm of watercolor.
I was born in 1966 and now live with my husband and two children in southern Thuringia in Germany. The beauty of this region inspires me to paint and I can often be found photographing the marvelous landscapes of the “Rhön” and the forest of “Thüringer Wald”. I enjoy the wonder of creating beautiful watercolor paintings from these photographs!
Thank you for visiting my website and I hope you enjoy my paintings!
